Nativity NegativityDate: 2008-11-25 Rating: 2 out of 10I also bought this for my mom who always wanted one. As I am disabled and money is tight, I still decided to buy this for her for xmas. Needless to say the cost is way overpriced for such inferior material used for such a blessed event. Flimsy material won't stand up to our weather. For this price should have been a resin or metal material. I am so disappointed and feel taken advantage of by the people manufacturing and selling this item. I think it is a shame to sell a product that portrays such a special religious event that clearly is inadequate for the price charged.

BewertungenFontanini Lighted Yard Nativity - Pretty, but not Useable OutsideDatum 2008-01-03 Rang: 2 von 10Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother, who has wanted a lighted nativity scene for her yard. It's very pretty - very Italian masters look to it. If wanted to use indoors somehow, would be nice. I don't agree that it is suitable for yard use - either in its construction or the overall effect. Rather flimsy construction. Acts like a sail in much wind at all, even when anchoring to the ground with stakes. If you like the thought of searching for baby Jesus in your neighbors' yards periodically, then this yard art is for you. Major unhappiness with the product is the lighting. When dark outside, you can stand in front of it and not see the beautiful painting of the nativity. The lights don't even give an adequate lighted outline of the nativity - unless you know what it's supposed to be and use your imagination. At a minimum, you would need to add a spotlight on the assembly - which we did with marginal results. Kind of like the difference between seeing a lighted Christmas tree in a dark room, as opposed to the less impressive tree in a lighted room.
Very unhappy with this product. Purchased through amazon.com from merchantoverstock.com. Beware of merchantoverstock.com return policy on Christmas items. Very impractical, if giving what you buy from them as a gift. Very unwilling to work with dissatisfied customers when unhappy with the quality of the product purchased. Will never buy anything from them again, as I am now out of $117 for a product that does not live up to either "outdoor" or "lighted" expectations.
