Beware: You can only pair to ONE cell phone via Bluetooth!Date: 2009-01-03 Rating: 4 out of 10I agree with most of the comments here, but everyone should be aware -- you can only have ONE cell phone set to automatically connect with this system via Bluetooth. Who's really going to manually pair their spouse's, kids, etc. cell phones with this thing every time they enter the house? No one. Terrible.
So, this limitation will probably be a dealbreaker for any household with more than one bluetooth cell phone, including ours. I just wanted to be very clear about this, because it was barely mentioned in the other reviews. It's too bad too, because it's a nice system otherwise. TIP: The Panasonic system allows two phones to be automatically paired.

It had all the features we were looking for: long battery life, speakerphone, caller ID, intercom. The clarity of the calls is impressive. Unfortunately we had a brief power surge and the phones won't ring any more. We can place calls but we can't hear if a call is incoming. We've gone back to using our corded phones. I called AT & T Customer Service and followed their instructions to take out the batteries, wait, and then place them back. We did that but had no success. The CSR said to send the system back. 1) 1.9Ghz DECT technology. What does this mean for you? Longer range away from the base and longer battery life. No more picking up your heavy 5.8Ghz phone and having little to no battery left. You can go far away from the base and still have a crystal clear all-digital signal. Thats the beauty of DECT 6.0
2) Bluetooth-set up to my cell phone was simple. First call was flawless. I called my old Pal Jim in south jersey and the call sounded great. Jim could not believe I was talking to him on my home handset thru the bluetooth on my cell phone. He was blown away! In the future we plan to get rid of our land line thanks to this feature.
3) As for those reviewers that want to use a headset may I ask why in the world are you buying new HAND sets so that you can walk around the house with a HEAD set? The purpose of these phones is to use your home handset!
4) As for connecting to more than one bluetooth at a time its NOT a big issue. You pair the wifes phone and use her phone for long distance. You can pair another phone but will have to manually reconnect (takes 3 seconds) if you want to pair that one. Really no big deal. The benefits FAR outweigh this. This phone is new, don't you think AT+T made this decision for good reason? There is no reason to pair more than one cell at a time. Enjoy !Good quality, lack of featuresDatum 2008-11-22 Rang: 4 von 10I specifically looked at this model because of the Bluetooth capability and the initial pairing and the call quality are great. Here are my two gripes that ultimately lead me to take the unit back after trying it for a couple of weeks:
1) You can only have 1 active bluetooth phone paired at a time. Most phones that support this allow for at least 2 paired devices.
2) The auto-pair technology. This was the deal breaker. The idea is the unit will reconnect with your phone should you take it away and bring it back. That works only under one condition - that you don't actually use a bluetooth headset with the cell phone in the meantime. Because I use a bluetooth headset when I am in the car, everytime I would return home there would be no connection and I would have to go through and manually pair the unit again. This became highly annoying after a few days and finally did me in.
So, the phone itself worked great and had clear reception both in cordless mode as well as in cell mode, but if you are shopping specifically for the bluetooth feature, then you might need to keep looking.No Headet JackDatum 2008-11-22 Rang: 4 von 10I purchased this unit, and immediately returned it, because there is no headset jack on the wireless handsets. Who makes a phone any longer without this simple, and necessary, feature? You can't use the phone while cooking, typing on the computer, or anything else--it's useless in long conference calls for work, or while talking to your mom and doing something else.
It's too bad, really, that AT&T didn't execute on this one.
