Nice multi-purpose device for the priceDate: 2008-12-21 Rating: 8 out of 10I bought this device to replace my JVC digital video camera and move toward something that was more portable and uses flash memory instead of DV tapes. On the positive side-this device is inexpensive, has many functions,is small and is easy to work with as far as transfering videos and photos to your computer. On the negative side-the video quality isn't what I'd describe as "high-def" even at the highest setting of DV1. I also had to turn the picture quality up to 12MB to get decent looking pics. All in all this device is good and I'll probably use it more often than my much larger video camera because of its portability and easy of file management (flash memory is way better than capturing video from a DV tape). However, if you're going to film something important and you want it to look professional and crystal clear, go with the larger, more expensive video cameras that have optical zoom.

Now I have a 4 gig mp3 player(upgradable to 16gigs!!!!) with a secret stashed vid cam,,digi camera and more..I LOVE THIS BECAUSE THE BATTERY "IS NOT BUILT IN" making the player non dependent on the life of the battery. The Consumer can change the lit ion battery!!!!
A few peeps have said "Man,What kind of Media Player is that?"
I keep the screen flat against the body of the player ,so, when I spring the camera on them,,they're sold..
At under 200 dollars for a 16 gig mp3 muti gadget with removable battery,it's worth a listen and viewing...
