I have had my Delorme PN-20 for several weeks now and couldn't be happier with it. I bought a refurbed unit and it works fine. As the bundle containes TOPO 7 which cost about $99 alone, I feel I got an outstanding deal.
The GPS is a joy to use. My previous model was non-map GPS so this was a real step up. The unit is very well designed and I really like the user interface, it is very intuitive. The ability to have full topo maps on a GPS makes it far more functional.
I also like the ability to simulate a route. This allows you to see if you have built the route in the way intended. The route, however must be entered on your computer using TOPO 7 or some other software before it is downloaded to the PN-20. You can't build routes on the PN-20, at least as far as I know.
It can also be used as a simple auto router, but it is not intended to replace a navigation device.
