Batteries are the key!Date: 2008-11-30 Rating: 8 out of 10I bought this camera for my girlfriend over a year ago. We used standard alkaline batteries, and literally after three to five flash pictures, the batteries were toasted. We assumed that we just got a dud camera, and it has sat unused for a year. I'm surprised we hadn't thrown it away. Then, after reading other reviews on this site, we got some Kodak 2500mAH rechargeable camera batteries and put them in this camera. IT'S WORKING GREAT NOW! Great pictures, and the camera is working with a battery life that you would expect.
This is a great little camera, but you MUST use rechargeable batteries with a high capacity!

I realize that digital cameras do this, but it would drain the batteries after about 5 minutes. These were brand new batteries! Then, the lens broke and the entire camera stopped working. I took it back and they gave me a new one. After about two weeks it did the exact same thing. I took it back again and they said they could not refund it because it had been over 14 days. I just gave up and bought a different camera. Needless to say, after sending the camera back twice, finally figuring out that the battery life lasts about as long as a roll of toilet paper in a large household AND now that the lens keeps getting stuck, I have had it with this camera! I took this camera to a professional camera shop and the store owner told me he sees many of these cameras with the same problem on a DAILY basis. I just purchased a Fuji for the same amount of money and was told I will be much happier. The thing will freeze and eat up all the life of the batteries. However... when it works it is a wonderful camera. It works very well and takes great photos. It's very fun because you can add stickers. DO NOT TAKE VIDEOS. That just sucks the juice out of the battery like a vacume cleaner. All in all it's an OK camera and I can't stress enough the suckish battery life. IT SUCKS SO MUCH>
