I purchased the Bounty Hunter Quick Silver for my son (age 9) for Christmas. All he asked for was a "real" metal detector. I think this one was great for a beginner. He is now looking for a time capsule that his uncle and I actually buried some years ago. :) We are all excited and hopeful he will locate it.
