Great CameraDate: 2008-11-30 Rating: 10 out of 10This camera has performed well in all situations I have subjected it to so far. I still have to learn some of the features. The zoom is great and the pictures are excellent with good color control. The flash is effective without shadow outlines, but there is some problem with red eye the way I use it. The LCD display is bright and works well even in relatively bright light. As a consequence, I have been using the display to compose pictures much more than with my previous camera. I also like being able to use AA batteries for power. It is a great camera.

The battery life is great, the display is big, and it's packed full of great features. The only drawback is that it can take a few seconds for the flash to recharge, and the camera isn't the smallest one you can buy. I shoot almost entirely on macro setting and have discovered an entire new world. The pictures are so clear that you can see individual hairs on the back of a half inch spider.
I was always frustrated by cameras (always point and shoots)that wouldn't focus as close as I wanted to get to a subject and now I'm not.
