A great camera for the priceDate: 2008-10-05 Rating: 8 out of 10I needed a pocket digital camera for personal, snapshot use, and when I hit Amazon to find one they had this one on sale with a memory card. Bottom line: For the price, a great little camera with good features. Obviously, if you need a quick, crisp response time and high end features, you won't find them here. There is a pretty good delay in the "shutter" time, making action shots hard. But, then again, its a pocket digital camera: You get what you pay for. If, however, you just need a good unit for taking snapshots, family photos, etc., then this is a good value.
Pros: Sturdy, lightweight, long-lasting proprietary battery, high megapixels for a low-end unit
Cons: Power button requires a hard press to turn on; delay in shutter snap time, menu graphics are a little cheap

I am traveling to Vegas and wanted a nice camera to capture the moments.I came across this camera and was impressed with the 10.1 MP picture quality and with its less the $200 price tag. I purchased the camera. I have had the camera for about 2 days now and the pictures are absolutely stunning. Loading the pictures onto my PC and the pictures seem to jump off the screen. The picture quality I am getting is top notch. Pictures look good in low light or outdoors. The lcd screen is large and very bright. Face detection does not work all of the time but for me that is not a big deal. The camera is small enough to fit in your pocket but not so small that you feel you are going to break it. Couple minor gripes are that the battery has a separate charger and does not come with case. I love this camera. Lot better than the Fuji camera that my wife bought for her job. Lots of cool menu options and does not take a rocket scientist to figure the camera out. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a nice camera to take decent pictures with.Lousy Picture QualityDatum 2008-01-18 Rang: 4 von 10I bought this based on the stylish looks and features it offered at a good price including face detection technology and MPEG video.
I was so disappointed at the dreadful quality of the photos I took with this, I went out and took a bunch more.
I took some in daylight, sunlight and using the flash.
While the photos appear bright and colorful, they look almost cartoonish in appearance.
The face detection did not seem to offer any improvement and sad to say I had to return it to Amazon.com (who made the process really easy).
I have several digital cameras from 3-7 MP and even my 3MP Canon had better quality than this.
Too bad, because it is a neat camera, well laid out and easy to use.
It does not get my approval... the most important thing you expect from a camera is decent prints and it just does not deliver.
