Good idea, poor executionDate: 2008-04-03 Rating: 4 out of 10The handle is much too short, so after about five minutes of use, my back was killing me. It would have been so easy to make it longer - why didn't they?
The rubberized grip isn't secure; it turns and slips after just a few minutes of use, giving you a less-than-secure grip on the tool.
The business end is wedge-shaped, widening from a point at the bottom to about 1/2" thick where it meets the handle. So it's too thick to shove deep into the crevice. A uniform thickness of about 1/8 inch would work better and allow the hook to be shoved all the way into the crevice.
I used my crevice tool for the gross debris, but to get my deck really clean, I then had to go back to my trusty old kitchen knife and kneeling pad.
Not really worth the $20 I paid. An old kitchen knife duct-taped onto a rake or hoe pole would probably work better and be cheaper.
Not recommended.
