Optics good but you have to press your eyes very close to the viewers to see well, and I felt there was not enough of a wide angle to justify the bulk.
Spend some more $ if you can do so and invest in about a $250-$400 pair-- I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for--you'll be a lot happier.

He was worried we'd have to spend a fortune to replace some very old Bushnell ones he'd lost, but he's pleasantly surprised. I live on 34 acre property with lots of trees and enjoy watching the birds and the deer, etc. I have tried other binoculars but none compare to this one.
